CCCTC Precision Machining
Instructor: Mr. Hector Martinez

The Precision Machining course is designed to teach the students set-ups, operations, maintenance, and repair of industrial type metal working machinery. The machine shop at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center has a large variety of metal working equipment that allows each student to receive more hands-on time at the machines.

  • Typical hourly rates for people in the machine shop industry range from $10 for entry level, to $16 or more depending on skills and experience. Add to this high demand for machine work, which means over time pay, these people easily earn between $20,000 to $40,000 a year.
